Reservation Policy

“As you sow so shall you reap”. This is an eternal truth, and is very relevant in today’s scenario.

Let’s connect this proverb to the current reservation policy. It appears quite baffling but it  is  not  so, “How do we expect overall good  performance when we are recruiting  some indolent people, just  on the  basis  of  reservation  policy”. Here  I  feel compelled to state that  everybody in the reserved  class is not a  mediocre, undoubtedly  there  is  a  vast  reservoir of  talent  in  reserved  class,  but such adroit personalities don’t  need the crutch of  reservation for  their  up-liftment , here  I am  only  talking  about the general  inefficiency  that  would  creep in to our  socio administrative  system if  merit is sacrificed in  the  name  of pseudo social justice and  the  less  efficient  people are given admissions just  on  the  basis  of  cast , creed  etc.. I  just  wanted  to  point  out this inimical  behavior  of our  constitution  with the unreserved class .  It is a violation of fundamental right of equality.

I  am  not  against  the  reserved  class; they  deserve   help  but not  the  kind which  is  being  doled  out  to  them. Let us help them by all means but never at the cost of efficiency. I simply  don’t understand  how are  we going to  build our public or  indeed any other sector with undeserving  and  inefficient  people in  its rank.

I  think  the  only infallible way is  to  bestow upon  them free elementary  education  &  scholarships on  large scale for  higher studies  moreover  enterprises  both  small and  large  should  be  given monetary help if the promoter  is from economically backward class then  and  only  then  the  deserving  one would  be  able  to  pass  their  assay.

The  present policy  as conceived  and  executed  does not  genuinely  help  either  the  backward  class or  their  cause .  It only implicitly creates a vote bank.  it  is  for everybody  and  especially  the  back wards  to  understand  that  the  under  garb  of  equality , they  are  being just  fooled   by  some  selfish  politicians , education  and  sheer  hard  work   are  the  only  ways  to  get  integrated  with main stream ,  my  colleagues from the  reserved  class may  take  offense  of  my  view ,  but  let’s  hope  that  they  understand  that  I  have not  said anything out  of  prejudice  but sheer logic makes me express myself in the aforesaid  manner .

Conclusively reservation policy is nothing but a menace to our nation’s unity & strength. one day  this poison is  going  to paralyze the whole  nation and  we would  be  responsible for  that . I  hope  that better sense prevails at earliest upon our ruling elites and they’ll get down  to  the  task  of  nation  building rather  then extracting  political  mileage  from  such  issues .

Indeed it  would  be  futile  to  lock  the stable  door once  steed  is  stolen.

Otherwise ………

Yes rahul you are right … what i think is everyone understands this now. But we’ve got into a vicious circle where no government can change the reservation policy . Otherwise not only will it be out of power but will lead the country to a violent turmoil. What we need is a dictator or emergency again for sometime to correct all this. Also that will give chance to improve many other habits in indians ; cleanliness for an example. I may sound too tuff.. but this is only an opinion…
